History

Katy Youth Basketball was originally organized under the name "Katy Little Dribblers' Basketball, Inc." in 1985.

In 1989, Katy Little Dribblers changed its name to Katy Youth Basketball, Inc.  At the time, the league enrollment was approximately 900 players.

Since that time, KYB's enrollment has steadily grown as our community has expanded.  Last year, KYB enrolled approximately 2,400 players.  That translates to approximately 240 teams and 480 practices per week.

Our league's success is and has always been dependent on the volunteer Board of Directors.  As we celebrate our 30th year as a youth basketball organization, we would like to thank all of the individuals who have served on our Board of Directors especially, the Presidents of Little Dribblers and KYB throughout its history.
